An A-Z of Inklings

An A-Z of Inklings

Has been read
Just realised that the top three illustrators that inspire me, Silverstein, Steinberg & Sfar, make it look like I got stuck in the S section of an A-Z of inklings.

Which is my favourite?
Saul Steinberg All in One Line
Probably Joann Sfar. No, he doesn't win just because he's the last man alive. It's because a group of us at a London book fair heard Sfar speak passionately about the multidimensional nature of multicultural storytelling in pictures.

'Don't fall in love with him,' my boyfriend warned.

'I can't promise that,' I whimpered.

Tamar Levi by Joann SfarAfterwards, while we all had dinner together, Sfar drew a portrait of me in his sketchbook. This is one of my most prized memories. I mean, not every aspiring illustrator gets a line drawing done by their lodestar! Yes, I follow all his work as I develop my own career. Now, how to get into that A-Z of inklings? What follows after S?
