Marie Antoinette

“There is nothing new except what has been forgotten.” Here is my portrait of Marie Antoinette in one continuous line, without lifting the pen off the paper. Don’t you feel we could make better choices if we recalled some of our mistakes better or better understood mistakes in the past? That’s what I think this quote means. That history repeats itself & we think it’s new because we don’t remember when similar things happened before. Of course I’m not talking about technological upgrades: objects that are new. I’m talking about the way we interact as humans. I’m talking about our humanity. I’m always only talking about our humanity.
